Her response makes her sound like a high school kid - I'm only 21 but I think if I was in her circumstances I could come up with a more polite and mature way of responding. The fact that she kept telling saying "you are retarded" just makes me think of things the kids yelled out in highschool

No, it's still allowed and even vet's perform the procedure as well as cropping of ears. I think some of the vet's have stopped doing it and there is a large debate over it.
