Default Need to vent

Hi everyone as you all know i own 2 golden retrievers and my chihuahua Rascal. Well my sister owns a chihuahua too the brother to Rascal, I'm getting really sick of her and her dog. She doesn't do anything with her dog just left it to its own devices, I'm left to clean up after it,feed it,buy the food to feed it. This chihuahua has no manners none of my dogs like it, actually both my goldens have attacked him. This chihuahua just humps everything in sight, I just bathed Rascal yesterday and Casper my sisters dog humped him and left yucky i will call it on his back leg. This dog will not listen to anyone but my sister. It barks all the time which then causes Rascal to bark, which i'm trying to train Rascal not to bark. His pretty good when i tell him to stop he stops but Casper keeps going. My sister has never spent anytime with her dog, she didn't even train it this dog doesn't know any commands at all. My Rascal knows sit and stay and working on the drop, Rascal has pretty good recall. I'm just sick of her dog trying to boss around my dogs, My goldens are getting annoyed too. Won't be long before my goldens either kill or injure her dog. Shes planing on moving out my sister but she won't take her dog, basicly dumping him on us, reason being her boyfriends cattle dog cross jack russel bites her dogs back legs, which casper brings it onto himself as he barks at her boyfriends dog all the time.My sister just stands there and laughs when it happens. When i first got Shelley my female golden Casper kept barking and chasing her etc and my sister just laughed about it. But a month or so ago casper tryed to steal Shelleys bone, Shelley gave casper 3 good warnings eg run up to him, then showed the bristles, then growled. Casper didn't listen to the warnings and still tryed to steal her bone so she grabbed him and threw him up against the brick wall not hard enough to scare him. My sister didn't think that was funny and complained, I then said well if you trained your dog and spent more time with him that wouldn't have happened. Shelley allows Einstein my male golden and Rascal my chihuahua near her bones but really dislikes Casper.

mg...no offense...ur sis dont deserve a dog...get her a pet rock as a goodbye gift and give the casper up to adoption. what i would do in your situation is when she moves, one day go to her house, break into her house and leave the dog inside with a note -_- i cant stand owners like that...seriously...wow

i totally agree with your comments so fair! how awful im afraid if i was you . Her & her dog would be off lol poor little thing he would be a lovely dog i bet if she spent some time with him i hate people like this why get a dog if youre not prepared to look after/train/ care for him? My sister has recentley deced she wants the JRT x Chi puppy and ive told her no shes not old enoguh and quite frankly it would be the same situation as you! She'd have him/her a week and she'd be tired of the puppy any way! Good luck and i hope you find the right solution to this problem!!!!

For the good of the "Pack" you may try giving him some attention and training him in some manners. I know it's not your responsibility to take care of him. But it sounds like you are doing it anyway. So, why not try teaching him manners and maybe it will make for a better pack all around.

Thats the thing Casper will not come near me at all if i walk past him he pees or yelps and i haven't done anything to him. Problem is Casper will not listen to anyone but my sister. If his inside and we want him outside to go to the toilet only my sister can get him outside, we can call and call and call and he just runs straight to my sister.

My mum, dad,my boyfriend and I can't believe how much this dog loves my sister considering how much she negelects him. She has said she is trying to find him a new home but shes not trying very hard, shes put one poster up on a supermarket board. If it were me i would put posters up in pet stores, grain stores, vets and advertise him in the newspaper.

I know its not the dogs fault at all its the owners fault,if no one is home including my 3 dogs my sisters dog will howl and bark. I think it may have speration anxiety. I have enough on my hands with my 3 dogs without having the problem of a untrained one. I mean like i only have 2 hands and walking 2 big dogs and 1 small one is enough for me. My 3 dogs are well behaved and listen to me really well.

I do see your issues. Bless your heart. I do hope it will all work out. Seems your sisters pup is a one person pup. Sounds like a really tough situation. I am so sorry.
