Ok maybe not but I sure think she is one smart cookie!!
Today Finn was whining and I was on the computer and turned around to see his little nose and eyes peeking at me from underneath the couch. He does this occasionally, acts all sad and won't come out. I have NO idea why and prob never will. Anyhoo I hate it when he does it . I'm always afraid he'll get hurt or get something bad from under there...who knows! So I kept calling him to me, sounding kind of sad to no avail.
Well leila was in here lying in their bed and so she notices and goes right over to him and kinda does her little "gruff" thing telling him to come out, which he didn't. So again she does it...runs over to him "grrrr gruff" and then runs away from the couch, like "hey get out of there and come over here." haha
All the while i'm watching the action. Well when that didnt' work she walks over (i can almost see the wheels turning in her brain) and grabs the first toy she sees and drops it near the couch but not right by it, and sits there. Well that did it. She lured him out with the toy and then they played tug o war.
I think she is the smartest dog of my 4 without a doubt. She also (some of the veterans here will remember) learned every trick I tried to teach her so quickly. Some she learned after just a couple tries, the harder ones it took maybe a few more lessons. I am just amazed at out little guys some times.
It would be easy to miss if you're not really paying attention.
Just had to come on and brag! I knew you guys would understand. So proud of my little girl. I mentioned to my breeder once about how quickly she learned tricks and she told me that Leila's mom was the smartest chi she'd ever had!

your girl sounds so cute and similar to sissy since sissy knows a few tricks, but nothing like what your girl did.

That is so cool, Cheryl. It amazes me watching them sit there and try to figure things out.

I have Lucy whom I got from the shelter many years ago. I'd guess 10 to 11 years ago. The vet guesstimated her around 9 mos. when i took her for her first checkup right after getting her.
Then we have Winston. I got him from a breeder in 2005 i think.
