Default When should i start feeding Latte Ziwipeak

just wondering what everyones thought were on when i should switch Latte to what Minnie, Tootsie, and Peyton are eating.

i figure for starters i should let her eat what she is used to. she's been eating a homecooked diet of white rice, peas, plain yogurt, cottage cheese and well done cooked chicken that is in very fine pieces from a food processor.

i went out today to get the peas, yogurt and rice. i already had cottage cheese , and they are bringing some chicken with them.

i will have to buy a food processor if i'm going to chop up the chicken that fine. i dont have one...

so what do you think ???

this diet is all she ever ate.

oh, besides doggie cookies. she likes zukes mini naturals in PB flavor and in Salmon. and Cloud star soft chicken and chewies. ( i went to petco today to get those)

i know my girls are going to want to eat what Latte is eating. but Tootsie has the allergies and i think one is to Chicken. even minnie seems to get itchier when she eats chicken....

I decided to do that as well when I brought home Ruby. I mixed her food and ours for a few days but then Hope was eating her food which did not agree so I switched her over pretty quickly with no issue.

When we brought Eden home she was 8 months so older than Ruby was but younger than Latte. I brought ZP in a bag in the car and gave her some on the ride home (short ride). I never even opened the small bags the breeder sent of her food. I donated them to a shelter.

The breeder described "picky eater" was gobbling ZP like mad. She is now my very best eater.

So, it depends on the little one. I'd at least give her some ZP squares as snacks or a topper to her food. It will be FAR better balanced than what she has been fed. I'd be curious to see what she thinks. If she eats it first or picks around it.

good idea, i will offer her a piece of ziwi and see if she'll eat it. i'd like to get her on it as soon as possible. it will be such a hassle to be feeding her the homecooked, i know Minnie , Tootsie , and Peyton will be going crazy wanting her food

** oh, and just waiting for a phone call now. will be leaving very shortly to get her

I think it would be fine to just start her on it right away. I switched both of mine to ZP cold turkey (both were puppies at the time) and they had no issues.
