Default Another warning about Coyote's and Birds of Prey

I cannot stress this enough. We have member's on this board that have lost their Chi's to Coyote's and Birds of Prey. It is up to us to protect our fur kids from these predators. They are bold predators and will snatch them up right in front of you. Please be aware...

Thank you for posting this. I live in area where owls, hawks, eagles, coyotes, and sometimes bobcats frequent. So I sometimes take for granted that people know to protect their pets from wildlife.

We don't have them in Scotland but we do have a fox that comes into the garden when its dark. So we don't let Zoe and Max in the back garden at night.

I only let mine out under full protection, with me, in a covered area. it is so sad, but that's how things are in my area.

I know all about this first hand...we installed an infra red/motion detector camera in our backyard as we often saw large prints....and this is what we saw The girls are never allowed outside alone..especially at night ...

Odie's not allowed outside alone either. Just last summer, a dog a LOT bigger than a chihuahua was picked up by an eagle. Thankfully it was okay, but it suffered serious punctures wounds.
