Default Nike got the snip snip :(

Poor girl! not only did I feel bad dropping her off all by herself, she came home all sad and in pain
We got some pain meds but can't give it to her till morning. Poor thing is whining in her sleep
I've been staying up with her and talking to her all night. Ima probably be sorry in the morning when an angry hungry attention seeking baby wants mommy!

Aww Pastel,
I know it's hard to see your pup hurt, but she will heal, and you will be happy you got it done.
It's tougher for females, takes a while longer to heal as well. Just continue being the sweet
and caring mama that you are and she'll be back to normal before you know it. Hugs!!!

Thanks LS
The vet said no special treats and no rough play I wish I could give her a big steak for being such a trooper. Ah, well, I'm planning on it in 10 days, but I bet by then she wont even remember it ever happened

I had to wipe her clean when she came home. She smelled like she sat in her own pee. It made me cry a little

No no no definitely don't give her anything you normally don't feed.
You can give her plenty of cuddles and puppy talk though.
Definitely no jumping, playing or running. Make your walks ultra
quick too for a couple of days. Let her rest as much as possible.
The thing with a spay is that once the outside heals, the inside
is not done healing yet, therefore make sure to be careful with
her even after the outside has healed up. My vet says even
though it takes around 14 days for the outside to properly heal,
it takes about a month for the inside. Dogs have very high pain
tolerance compared to us imo, you will see your pup acting normal
really soon, and you'll be amazed, lol. When everything goes well
they just bounce back up in no time and you actually have to try
and keep them calm for their own sake.

Sure she could have urinated from fear or anxiety. But it's over now,
I'm sure she is happy to be home with you. The toughest part is
behind you now. You did the right thing, you will not be contributing
to the pet overpopulation, and you reduced or even eliminated the risk
of disease in the reproductive system. Not to mention she will not have
any sexual discomfort or stress. You did the right thing, you should be
proud of yourself for being a responsible pet owner.

Poor Nike! I hope she does better. Seeing your baby in pain is so rough, I wish you all the best. She will do better and be begging for that steak soon enough!
