I'm outraged
I was at the spca today, helping to pick up a rescue for my
friend that had underwent dental surgery. I was talking
to one of the "interns" volunteering there today. She
was telling me about her schooling and her volunteer work.
In the process of the conversation she told me that she works
at a Vets office in Orlando as well. In this conversation she told
me that the Vet's office that she works at has a policy to euthanize
all animals surrendered to them regardless of their health, and that
she had watched this happen and it made her sad.
At the time I was holding on to a mastiff/lab mix that was still groggy
from sedation and very distracted. However once I got home I started
remembering our conversation. I remember what days she volunteers
at the SPCA so I am going to find out who this vet is, but I am so
outraged by this.
