Default Maia is home from vet!!!!!

Maia is FINALLY home from her spay appointment. I picked her up this morning at 11am. She was sooooo happy to see me. She is antibiotics and pain meds for the next several days, and her activities are limited as well. Right now she is sleeping on the couch next to me in some pain..... but I hope she starts getting back to her normal self here soon!!!!!!!!

I am so happy and relieved Pam!! This chi mom didn't sleep very well last night seeing that Maia sleeps with me every night. Her and I took a nap as soon as I got her home, lol.

Awww. Poor little thing. But at least it's done. She'll be back to her normal self before you know it.

Not sure if they sent you home with an e-collar if it's necessary and you need one our Petco has the donuts (inflatable e collars) on sale for 19.99. I bought one tonight for the cat that I will use on the pup when she gets her spay. Cat and dog figured out teamwork gets the Cone of Shame off the cat - so it's now impossible to keep on the one the vet sent home. I imagine by tomorrow they will have figured how to deflate and re-inflate the donut so they aren't "busted" by morning ~ but it at least buys me some more time for her to mend.

Glad she pulled through & speedy recovery.

I also thought I saw something on the Petco site about small dog get-togethers but haven't been able to find it again. When I do I will post the information as I know alot of folks would like to find a group of smaller dogs to socialize with.

DKT113, thank you for the info on the e-collar. My vet has them if I need them free of charge. I can pick one up if she needs one and then return it when she goes back in to get her stitches out. As of right now, she's not licking it that much. The vet said that she would clean it but to watch for excessive licking which she hasn't done yet. Another good thing is I'm a light sleeper and she sleeps with me so every time she moves I wake up. But it is good to know where to get one in case I do ever need one!!

I am glad she is home and all went well. I never used a E collar when i had Zoe spayed she did fine. Some do and some don't bother it much.
