The other night Charlie asked to go outside. Well we live in a rural area where there are lots of predators especially at night and Charlie being so small 3lbs is way to small to go outside without somebody. So I said ok Charlie I'll take you out just let me put my coat and shoes on because its cold outside. so I'm putting on my shoes and I look over at the cats litter box and there is Charlie standing in the litter box going pee. So then I thought ok silly dog I guess he couldn't hold it. I figure I better scoop his pee out of there pretty quick the cats may not like their box smelling like dog. So I go out to the kitchen to get a bag and i come back to the litter box and there is Dancer one of my cats in the litter scratching like crazy doing her best to cover up Charlies pee. She didn't mind that he used her box but she wasn't very happy that he didn't cover it when he was done. Either Charlie thinks he's a cat or he's decided if the cats can go there and not get put outside maybe I can too. Silly dog.
Haha, cute story. It's amazing how smart Chis are. He knew the card go in there. You know, my Russian Blue Gibbs thought he was a dog. He had a harness and leash and everything. So I guess it works the other way too lol. Plus, it was cold out! Now the cats just have to teach him how to cover his pee when he's done.
Having had multiple foster cats and kittens (we currently have four foster kittens) and now being the happy foster mom to a chi for just four days I can tell you that our Chi IS A CAT. She looks like a cat and acts like a cat. My daughter keeps saying that because she barks she is a dog, but she barely ever barks and yesterday I think I heard her purr .
Haha aw that's so cute! Sometimes the cats will "cover" Odie's pee on a pee pad, which is really annoying because they scrunch it up. Also bizarre because half the time they don't cover their own stuff!
