Udate on Timmy
Thank you for the Benadryl answer. It did help, but before it went to work he looked like a bulldog, everything was very swollen up.
Today I took all his toys away, he is not too happy because his toys mean a lot to him.
He did not want to eat at all today. So I made him chicken, after half an hour he had the most explosive diarrhea. Very, very runny. He has always had very firm stools.
I am so worried about him. He has always been such a happy go lucky healthy boy.
And now this.
Does anyone know what allergy tests consist of?
And would the Benadryl cause him to have such horrible diarrhea
I am for a lost her.
Thank you Regina

PLEASE take this dog to the vet. Taking Benedryl for a day or two is OK, but if he is still swelling 'up like a bulldog' he needs something more. If this swelling goes into his throat, he may die, from not being able to breathe.
Allergy tests can be done 2 ways. Blood draw, and they do it that way. Skin testing is next. Or reverse. Up to your vet. There are allergy specialists. Wash the toys well, and try one at a time. I personally, don't think toys are the problem. Outside allergies, like mold, trees, grass, ragweed etc. Inside allergies, are mold, dust etc. are more possible ones. Good luck

I agree with this. Your dog needs to go to the vet.

I agree also, please go to the vet, if his tongue starts swelling, he can die bc it can close his airway. This sounds serious. Maybe you can try some boiled chicken and rice later today after his tummy has rested. And perhaps once his stools are better, try slowly adding in some sort of limited ingredient dog food from makers like acana, wellness, instinct, or California naturals. Hope he feels better soon!
