My other dog (65lb mix breed) is a barker. I had to get a citranella bark collar because I had animal control at my door 2 times in one week because of neighbors complaining. It sprayed twice and now I just put it on an he knows not to bark. It was a life saver. Good luck!!

If it's from noises outside, we used a squirt bottle for Brewster every timed he barked at something and now he hardly barks at all.

Maybe I just spoil my chi's LOL but when we leave for work we leave either the sports channel on or the news channel on for them, they love it. Especially Verres, Diamond couldn't care less but Verres is a barker, and once the TVs on -they mellow out real quick and i know they find the background noise comforting. At ALL three of our apartments no body has ever complained of barking.

We had this with our upstairs neighbour, i asked the woman across from us whos door faces ours with like a 6/7foot gap, she said she'd never heard a thing! i left the camera running and got what you did a little crying when we left and then they went and played or lay down, i video'd for a week as proof that it wasnt an off day, we used a cheapo cctv style camera to get round the hour cut off mark (ebay £20/30) right enough it wasnt colour or high quality but you could hear everything and see the different dogs, Indi is crated because shes a tad too keen to eat things like bags and units but she just sleeps all day quite happy to.

Beware its not just the neighbour being anti dog, our neighbours anti young person (he once came down and yelled at me holding my 1year old niece! for having a party, fyi we were watching cartoons and eating spagbol!)
