so i go away from thursday night to this morning. had 2 friends watching my dogs. they live one door down. i come back house is full of pee aand poop they are dirty i mean it was disgusting. i was soooo mad, you smoke 100 times a day it takes, 15 seconds to walk to my back door and let them out. i am still mad, but i got it all cleaned up and gave them both bathes and fed them. meeko, my dachshund is curled up next to me and yoda is on me trying to attack meeko. but it was so disgusting, i dont get how they could be that irresponsible. they expect me to watch there baby all the time, they dont pay me and i dont say anything but i ask you to watch my dogs for 4 days and you cant even do that.

How awful!! I know how mortified you must be! Do you think they took the time to feed them? Sounds like they didn't even come over to let them out, so they probably haven't been fed or watered. I'm glad they're o.k. Now you know they can't be trusted.

they didnt seem really starving, yoda ate a little more than usual but he didnt seem famished. yea now i know they can not be trusted. it surprises me how lazy they are. all they had to do is open up the door, they would have walked out and used the bathroom.

You said that you sometimes watch their baby for them? This makes me wonder if they're taking care of their dog? I only have 2 people to watch Midgie, but only 1 of them I trust to give her the attention I give her. If they can't watch her when I need them to, then I stay home no matter what. I usually don't need anyone to watch her but once or twice a year maybe. This is why we have an RV, so we can take her with us everywhere.

Yikes. Definitely don't trust them to ever watch your dogs again. Just feel lucky you only came home to a disgusting mess and not an injured or ill dog. Your friends do not sound responsible at all.

How awful! I don't wanna sound mean or harsh but they don't deserve you to take care of their baby.

That must be so frustrating! At least you can come on here and vent a bit. I'd refuse to look after their baby again. I have sisters that would look after mine and feed and clean them but there's only one sister that I will leave them with because I'm not sure the others would be as careful or pay as much attention to them as me. Glad they're ok and back with you now xox
