Penny is 1 yr and 1 month old while tiny is 1 yr and 8 months old. They have lived together for a while now and i had tiny first so penny came 2nd. They have only fought for reals once when i first got penny and i guess little 5 month old penny who was quite a fiesty one backed down but just now they fought again forreals and tiny backed down and rolled on her back. Tiny got back up and sat staring at penny and cried a long cry. Does that mean she's sad? Lol sounds silly. I kno its normal for them to fight once in long time for dominance but does it ever flips and flops sides?

If I were you, I wouldn't tolerate fighting. They could really hurt each other. There just isn't a need for it unless you're favoring one over the other.

Im def not favoring one or the other. The fight was quick and i was in the kitchen so i couldnt stop them in time. None of them were hurt. The 1 st time they fought penny backed down already but i stopped them when they were still growling. They usually never fight and get along very well. It was just these 2 times. I kno that they may fight again in the future for dominance so i will be on the look out.

I know that Lulu and Gidget are two different breeds, but I'll still offer my experiences with them. They have never fought, but I believe Lulu shows dominance towards Gidget in the following way and Gidget allows it... if someone comes to the door or comes in or if we are giving out treats, Lulu will sort of run around in front of Gidget with her mouth open and cut her off like, "Back up Gidget, I'm first." Lulu will also do that if she thinks she needs to protect Gidget from something. But, Gidget thinks ALL antlers are hers and Lulu knows better than to touch them without the help of a human handing it to her and guarding her, and Lulu never test Gidget on this.

Yea penny and tiny r similar too. If i have a treat tiny cuts infront of penny. But if i throw a toy or treat tiny lets penny get it. When they play tiny always rolls on her back even if she's 3lbs bigger than penny. And wen tiny has a chew penny straight steals it from her while if it were the other way around tiny just stares. I guess they were equals for such a while that they had to settle the score today, smh.

Are they ever home alone? If so, are they in separate crates? My fear is if they fight when no one can hear or see them! I think that's just old age settling in on me! Hahaha. Years ago I would leave all three of mine (different breeds and sizes) alone together. But now, I'm afraid Angel might get hurt so he goes in his carrier.

They probably haven't firmed up as to which one is the leader!

Yes they are home alone sometimes but i always put penny in her kennel because i quite dnt trust her yet due to her not being able to hold her pee and poo in. I kno others may have different opinions but i trust them being together. Dominance issue isnt very strong here. Tiny is a very submissive dog and is a gentle one and will always let penny get away with just about anything. Penny is 3 lbs smaller and usually minds her own business. I kno that i should still be cautious but i dnt want to be always paranoid and keep them apart and make them become distant from one another. Honestly i think they are fine with one another just as long as im there and if im gone pennys in her kennel.

I'm still not sure who is the most dominant here. They both wait to be given a treat. Mylo will steal chews off Willow and sometimes Willow will steal chews off Mylo, other times whichever one has the chew will growl and the other will back off. Today Mylo started eating Willow's food and she lay down and watched and yesterday Willow was eating her food but wouldn't allow Mylo near his own so he just lay down and watched. When they play both with roll over on their backs at different times. Mylo looks out for Willow... He was growling at any dog that came near today and I think it was because Willow was on the walk with us. She couldn't get on the chair today so he put his nose under her bottom and pushed her up. When she was doing a little cough thing the other day he got up on the couch, looked like he was giving her a once over, looking at her and sniffing all over and then he started licking her face.
