I'm so proud of Taz he is learning from Charlie that all things aren't scary this morning I was combing the Cats and Charlie came over so I said Charlie want to be pretty too so I combed his hair and said oh such a pretty boy and of course Charlie got all happy and proud of himself I look at Taz and said Taz want to be pretty boy too and went to comb him and he got scared and ran :away with his tail between his legs. He was afraid of the comb. So I said its OK Taz its just a comb it won't hurt you and I said see and combed the ends of my hair. Then about 15 minutes later Charlie came back and I said what you want to be a pretty boy again and I ran the comb through his hair and told him how pretty he was. This time Taz came over I said you want to be pretty boy too and I let him sniff the comb and he let me comb him. I said oh my what a pretty Taz so so pretty. I was so proud of him because he is so afraid of everything I'm hoping this trend will continue Charlie is very well socialized so if Taz continues to want to try things because Charlie does it will make my job allot easier at least when it come to objects. The other day it took me 45 minutes just to get a harness and leash on Taz. I hope we don't have to go through that again.

It really helps to have another dog as a role model. I hope Charlie continues to be a good influence. And congrats Taz

I find that with these two. They'll do things because the other one is. Sounds like a great start! I'm glad Taz is with someone willing to work with him and help him now.

Tiki is great at home and will follow Leo around but as soon as we leave the house she is too scared of people and other dogs. We are working on it but it is really going slow. She likes being inside her carrier but it really is hard to socialize... Soo slooww

I'm sure Taz would love to have his crate he has spent most of his life in one . For now its been taken away from him. His previous owner didn't give me his Crate. There is one that the cats use to play in sometimes so If Taz really wanted to he could go in there also. Taz has found a spot he likes in the kitchen under a kitchen chair thats against the wall. He doesn't go there very ofter anymore he seems to use me for his security and thats fine . I don't baby him he does look to me for reassurance when he deems something scary I don't pick him up and cuddle him but I will tell him that its ok it won't hurt him. Then he looks to see how Charlie is reacting and if its not scaring him then Taz will relax. Its going to be a long road but worth it in the long run]

Aw, it sounds like he is coming along, you are doing a great job with him.

After TC passed away Charlie was very sad and it was just heart breaking he would cry all day long go from room to room looking for TC then he would ask to go outside and look out there. come back in and do it all again. Finally I put an ad on the Internet that I was looking for a Young small dog no bigger than 8 lbs preferably smaller. and my reasons for why and how I lost my TC.I also said I was willing to pay a reasonable adoption fee.I got a call that evening from Taz's previous owner and thats how the adoption started. I did pay a small adoption fee for Taz after all he's right up to date with his shots and he's already neutered so That saves me allot right there. So
I got him from a family not far from where I live. They are very nice people . In the town close to where I live there is a by law that you are only allowed to own 2 Dogs per house hold I guess some one phoned the city and told them that they had 3 dogs. So she needed to find a new home for one of them or the dog would be taken away and they would be fined. Their home was beautiful and she obviously loved the dogs but I don't think they really had time for them.Both husband and wife work and they had a teenage daughter was in high school so the dogs where Crated all day. and when I picked up Taz it was around 7:30-8:00 pm and all 3 dogs where in their crates now to me when the family is home and just watching tv relaxing why are the dogs crated that should be the time the dogs spent time with their humans. anyway. She interveiwed me and deemed me a good home I took Charlie with me because she wanted to make sure Taz and him would be ok together. Of course Charlie is so friendly and well socialized he made friends with Taz right away. She told me that Taz was very shy and scared she asked me if I used a crate for Charlie I said no so she said she didn't think Taz would want to be in a crate if Charlie wasn't so she didn't give me his crate. She cried when I left with him. she care for him but he was never socialized and spent a good majority of his time in a crate. So now this poor little dog that has never been exposed to anything is scared of everything and I do mean everything has come into my life and its my job to turn all this around he's 2 yrs old he will be 3 on April 16th I have all his vet records and registration papers. Anyway thats how I got him.
