I was thinking the exact same thing - would you get rid of one of your kids if finances got tight?? I dont think anyone could answer "yes." Even when the cockapoo we adopted bit everyone in our family, we didn't give him back because if we did we knew it would be a death sentence. So we just avoided situations that would trigger his biting because he really was a sweet boy in spite of his little "problem." Hang in there and hold on, you need them now more than ever!
So sorry to hear about your brother. It is tough to lose a sibling so young!
I just declared bankrupsy 3 weeks ago. It is SO embarrassing for a 74 yr old to ask for help. I just ran up my credit card. So much of it was for vet visits. Now I have a debit card, and will have to save for vet visit. Hopefully no one really gets sick. Emmies bill for the work up for epilepsy was $3800!!! So when I had to use my credit card for eating, I realized I had to make some huge changes in my life. Oh well, to learn the difference from 'need and want' is something to learn at 74!!
