Here is Jaxx's pile for the day and I hear him in his toy box as I am typing this.

Awww Jaxx is such a cutie pie! I see you also make braided toys, I love
those, super easy to make and are great for playing tug of war.



Not very long ago this was our toy box...


But I found that since it is always exposed to the pups, they eventually get
bored of the same old, even though they have this massive choice, and since
our place is small having toys here and there quickly became a hazard to me
since walking is not easy due to pain, extra obstacles aren't needed. My OCD
doesn't let me love the messy look either.


So now we have a basket up top of our mini library, and I do as I mentioned
earlier, rotate, 5 or so toys every day. The pups get more excited about the
toys now, and it's neat which is a plus. (the brown basket is toys!)

LS I love your idea about putting the dog toys on top of the mini library. I am thinking that perhaps if I put them somewhere out of Jaxx's reach but in hubby's easy access when playing with Jaxx he might get used to just trading one toy for another if he wants to play with Jaxx with something different.

I love the braided toys too! Jaxx has several of them. I have a patch in our closet where I put things that I plan to braid for Jaxx when one gets tore up. Somehow we always have old socks that I knot too. Hubby gets holes in his socks every couple months so Jaxx always has a supply of those too. I wish he didn't though because I am tired of buying socks!

I wish I had this problem! Butterbean won't touch her toys. I've never before known a dog that wouldn't play, and it makes me a little sad to think that maybe she missed that as a puppy.

I really like that rotating toys idea, so I think I'm going to try that too. We do that with our kids (ie put a few toy tubs away, and then when we rotate them back out it's like Christmas morning, LOL!), but it never occurred to me to try that with the dogs. Each of our pups has one favorite toy that they adore, so I will leave those out, but then rotate the rest. I love that pic of Jaxx with his toys ! He has that adorable one ear up, one down look that just melts my heart (Chica has that sometimes too). So cute!

Thank you I love that look too! We have been looking for a second chi and part of me would like to find one that has the one ear up and one ear down look like Jaxx but with all my other requirements I want I doubt I find that.

Phew! Never thought I would say this, but I'm glad Lacey hates toys. Her 6 month old kitten on the other hand; that one is trouble. She'll steal all Lacey's toys and then go marching around with her chew sticks and hide everything from Lacey. She rarely plays with cat toys; she much prefers Lacey's stuffed animals and squeakies. I can try to hide the toys from her, but she's too crafty and by the time I've collected all the toys, she has dug them out again and exploded them like a tornado all over the apartment. That Lainey-Shay is one NAUGHTY kitty!!!

luni has plenty of toys but she wont play w/ any of them she always goes after my kids stuffed animals and the babies shoes
