We had the pleasure of visiting with family in Charlotte NC for Thanksgiving. Simcha was really very well behaved on the 250 mile trip, plus overnight stays Thursday and Friday night - great with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Well, there was one notable exception. On Friday, we went shopping at Trader Joe's. We did get a package of Beef Recipe Rolls, which were definitely doggy-licious. Simcha got a special treat of about 1/3 of one of the rolls. When we took the kids out to dinner, we left Simcha in the laundry, along with a zipped up cloth bag containing the remaining 9 2/3 rolls. Somehow, our little sweetheart managed to pull out that cloth bag, chew through the zipper and remove the package of beef rolls. He consumed 4 of them. That's right, 4 ounces of beef rolls vanished into his tummy. For the record, Simcha's body weight is about 13 lbs., and he normally has 1/2 cup of Nutro kibble twice daily.
I will spare the graphic details, but his Saturday poops definitely deserved a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. By Sunday afternoon, he finally returned to normal, and his energy levels likewise returned to normal. I suppose we are fortunate he did not eat to the point of being seriously ill.
