I think with your little man being so young, a sibling will work out favorably...

My Bella resented getting a new sister...she was not interested in sharing her momma with anyone else...and made Izzy's life miserable at times. Then I added Zari and Izzy and Zari bonded very well. They just tried to stay out of Bellas way...Bella was the only one that could jump up on the furniture so she spent most of her time on the couch so the other two could not bother her ...Bella is gone now and my two are leading very tranquil lives without having to worry about the wrath of Bella ...they are always sleeping together ( usually with Izzy on top of Zari )

So I shouldn't worry if Ralph is a little off? After all it is his home she's coming in to. We are going to visit a pup tomorrow.

I LOVE having two chis......

Chico was MAJORLY Pi$$ed when I brought Kody into the house........ growling, snarling, snapping... nothing hurtful but he was NOT happy...... once Chico established he was still ALPHA everything settled down... Kody doesn't care if he isn't Alpha and never challenges so its all good now...... it took a couple of weeks but they are like brothers now..... one looks out for the other......

Dexter is a much happier chi after gettin KC plus he's not as needy anymore since energy is spent play fighting and havin a shadow constantly for him, because of her he's been sniffing more fogs lately which is awesome and a big change for him. U will love it!

I wouldn't be concerned, it's totally normal and I'd say more likely to happen than not. Mylo is a very affectionate and not very dominant but he showed a lot of dominance behaviours, humping her, trying to sit on her head, 'butt bumping' her but they're best of friends now.

I introduced them at my sister's house. Bacause it was neutral territory none of the dominance behaviours came out until we were at home. They just played at my sisters house. I think slowly is the best way. Hold them, let them sniff each other. Show your current dog lots of attention and unless it's dangerous try to let them work things out on their own.

I wish I could get a second Chi! I think it's a great thing to be able to have two- they always have a playmate and friend. And they wear each other out! And at Ralph's age, it is a great time for a second one!

I wouldn't worry if he is "off" at first. Just make sure you give him love and show him he is still #1 so he doesn't feel displaced and he should adjust fine.
