I appreciate all the warm thoughts and the prayers for Izzy...she has a great surgeon and is in the best of hands..in more ways than one !
Someone said to me...sit in a quiet room by yourself....face the fear but shut down the mental chatter ...and surprisingly it was very comforting...it is the darn mental chatter that does the most harm ! I know Izzy will feel so much better after that painful eye is removed and for that I am very thankful...
At this time of the year, anyone who has suffered a loss understands the overwhelming sadness that comes over us...but somehow we have to be able to look around and see what we can be thankful for and what brings us contentment..
Each message means the world to me and gives me strength. One thing that really helped was the big hug sent from my main man in the UK

Ralph and I will be sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts to you , your hubby and most of all Izzy. I know how worried and nervous you must be.....It is reassuring to know that Izzy will have an excellent surgeon that you are confident with and have faith in. I truly hope the surgery brings the relief that Izzy needs. You are most certainly right about how losses can over come us at this time of the year...My husband and I are certainly aware of ours and have counted our blessings many times over for what we have now as I am sure you have to. Stay strong Kathleen...*hugs*
