WRONG!
It is about love, family, friends, kindness and sacrifice. NOT about going into debt or being burdened with a credit card bill until summer.
We both have jobs and I do not go all out on our dogs at Christmas.
There are plenty of dollar store clothes and toys if you want to get them each one thing. Heck, give them some frozen green beans as a treat or let them do things they might not normally do for Christmas.
Or if you have transportation, offer to volunteer at the rescue/shelter where you got them, in their honor, as their gift. I bought a toy "from" each of the girls and a bag of treats that I will take to our shelter next week. My girls are each getting one thing and it was something I bought and found where I keep their food and medicine and forgot that I bought!
It should be about time spent, NOT money spent. That is the value of Christmas!

I love the thought of volunteering at a shelter in honor of our pups! It brought tears to my eyes.

Another thing my chi's love is a small plastic bottle wrapped in a sock (sew the top shut) that they can chew. PetSmart sells these, but you can make one easily. My roommate also made some soft toys---felt ribbons that were braided together. My dogs are not destructive chewers though. They just like to work on 'em !!

(-: Just dawned on me that all the toys in the world don't top a pair of my underwear for Lady.

Yep, Lady removed and chewed through about 5 pairs of underwear mostly thongs out of the laundry basket. Sneaky little thing got into my closet while I was making dinner. I left the closet door open on accident. Mind you, Lady as her name suggests is generally a Lady!

Jaxx's favorite toys are his daddy's socks braided into a rope (I tell Jaxx all the time that I have no clue why he loves his daddy's stinky socks so much.) I have actually made him a new one for Christmas because his old one is looking kinda dingy. He also has a rope that is made out of one of my old shirts that I was going to throw away. He has a lot of toys but he plays with ropes made out of our clothes the most.
