We have 3 Wal Mart's in our town and I refuse to go to 2 of them. I go to the other side of town when I actually have to go to Wal Mart because it is the nicest one in town. I used to go to the one close to me but the last time I was in there the cashier was having a problem with her register and was ringing up only 1 item every 5 minutes. After we had stood in line for 20 minutes I politely asked if she should call someone to help fix the register. She told me to shut the *#*$* up. Needless to say we left with our items on the register and I won't go back to that store.
I love Target though. Their employees always seem nicer than Wal Mart's employees too.
I used to work at Wal Mart so I know that customers can be a pain in the bum but I was very polite to the cashier and vowed not to go back in that store. I would rather spend a little more money on groceries and support local groceries than be treated like that. I do go to Wal Mart when there is something I know I can get there and no where else but I drive across town to do it now.

I too like Target although it also "big box"..... At least it always seems bright, cheery and clean in my area unlike Walmart. I always seem to walk out with more than I went in for which I guess is a good sign (for the store, not for my wallet).
Can't wait for target! I drive by the location on my way to work and see them working on it. Spring 2013! Woohoo!
My friend was visiting from Australia, where they also don't have Walmarts, and he was so excited to go to one. He had seen the website People of Walmart and he brought his camera. As we were walking in, a man with his beard dyed electric blue was coming out and my friend was fumbling to get his camera out. Haha, apparently it was a really big outing for him.

I am soo excited for target LS! Ours is opening in January! That can NOT come soon enough! We also live less than 5 minutes from the border so as long as there is no 2 hour line up to cross, I have a REAL american target 20 minutes away
