Glad he's alright!! Those cats can do some damage. Midgie has free roam to go in & out as she please. I can hear the doggy door when she goes out & I always go to the door to watch her. Dogs that run loose in my neighbor sometimes jump over my fence. I always on alert when she goes out.
The worst part is that Charlie was probably just trying to be friendly at first and got a good swat for his good intentions. He was so mad he took it out on Taz as soon as he got in the door and Taz was just tring to see if he was alright because he heard Charlie yelping and Taz got a good snarl and a nip for hs trouble . Charlie has 3 kitty brothers and sisters that he plays with all the time and of course he has his sister cat lollipop that he likes to hump she just lays down and takes it until she gets a chance to escape. So I'm sure he wasn't expecting the cat to attack. When he did Charlie got real mad he might have got a little booboo but If he had of got the chance to get that cat he would have shown him a thing or two or at least thats what he thought. Cats usually swat and run thank goodness or poor Charlie would have been ripped to ribbons. Silly dog he'll be on the look out for that cat every time he goes out now. I'll have to keep my eye out now.
Make sure you check Charlie's bite/scratch for signs of infection. IF it was a bite, they can turn into abcesses really quickly. Hopefully it was a scratch. Poor baby!
