Okay, even if it's not chicken bones, don't those of you who live in urban areas and walk your dogs on city streets ever deal with littered food in one form or another?

My crew find chicken bones EVERYWHERE!!!
It is THE most annoying thing.

I live in an urban city, our area is all apartment buildings, people have to put
their garbage bags into bins that are located right in front of each building near
the sidewalk. Squirrels and raccoons go into those garbage bins. My guess is they
are the ones who spread the chicken bones around, and then my dogs find them.
There are also people who simply throw their garbage out their window...no respect.

I don't come across anything other than maybe a cigarette butt on our walks. We travel with Odie to larger cities in BC, and the worst thing we've came across on our walks is FLEAS! Haha... I think i'd almost rather take the chicken bone.

Haha maybe it is! We're getting married in Destin, so we've been making several trips there lately to Florida. We go through some TINY little towns! Some of them are so small that I wonder where people even go grocery shopping!

I don't have any issues with this. I live in a big city, but I don't live downtown or anything. I live in apartments that are attached to a very upscale shopping center. It has stores in it like Saks Fifth Ave. So, they do a very good job at keeping it very neat and clean. It makes me wonder if we did go on walks downtown if it would be an issue.

We have one neighbor especially that throws out chicken wing bones in the yard all the time. I try to avoid the area where they live but they live on the next breezeway up from us and they tend to throw them a long ways at times. I have even found a chicken wing on our patio before.
Jaxx finds at least one chicken bone every couple weeks. He got choked on the first one and I had to take it out. Luckily the vet said he was okay.
