We also live out in the woods. Both dogs have some kind of obsession with rabbit droppings. And we have a state trail next to our house that we walk on quite often and a river we go swimming in during the summer. But we have to be careful because of beer cans and horse poopies ... Because there are often horses on the trail.

I will translate for you a sign that an angry person put up on many telephone poles this month because he/she was tired of walking around other people's dogs' poo and garbage that littered the streets. I wish I would have thought of it myself to do so..

"Who is more of an animal...you or your dog who cannot clean up after him/her self? An a s s walks on four feet..you walk on two".

I tried to translate it as best I could.

Horse poo is the worst, I have two of my own and my larger dog Boss loves going in their pen and rolling around in the stuff! I've thrown away several collars due to that!

We live in a nice-ish place for the city we're currently in. I am constantly having to dig in Leila's mouth and once I had to stick my finger halfway down her throat because of the trash she's picked up. I love puppy kisses and all, but sticking my finger down a dogs throat really upsets the germaphobe inside me.
One lady actually stopped me and said, "Do you know there's always trash in your parking spot?"
I told her yes, I'm always having to clean it up, and that I'm always having to reach inside my pups mouth to remove it. She said, "You don't clean it up, I do! Stop leaving trash in your parking spot!"
Um, excuse me? If it were my trash, 1) I wouldn't be upset about it, and 2) if it were in my spot, obviously it came from the car beside me (I have a corner parking spot). If it came from my car, it would have rolled out into the spot beside me, not roll halfway and magicly turn in reverse and go under my own car.
So I explained that to her, but she wasn't hearing it. She just turned her back and walked away, muttering over her shoulder.

People can be so freaking stupid. I think it'd be a good idea to call in, it may make someone more aware of what they're doing. The old man beside us just doesn't realize what he's doing, he's 86 years old and just doesn't realize things like that are happening.

Your rant was kind of amusing but I can totally empathise. We have that kind of stuff down our street and we live in a nice area too. There's been a couple of broken bottles lately too so I have to cross over to avoid them walking on broken glass. Lucky for you that yours listen to 'drop it' Mylo doesn't pick much up, but if he finds a nice tissue or something I have to literally prize it from his mouth!
