So glad that you were both okay! I'm so excited that Odie is getting a car seat for Christmas. Just this summer our car was rear-ended and we had Odie in the back seat. Thankfully that time it happened very slowly, but the year before my car was rear-ended and it was not so slow and my back was hurt. I hate to think what would have happened to Odie had she been there.

I agree, most of the deer population resides in SC LOL.
Deer don't bother me at all, I actually enjoy them and hate the fact that they are hunted soo much. But I really wish they would stay out of the streets! lol.

I put the crate/carrier in the front seat and seat belt it in. Bonnie was in hers when some idiot came accross 3 lanes of traffic to get to his exit. I also had to slam on my brakes. She slid to the front of the carrier, but everything held, and she was OK. I was so shaken though. I missed hitting him by a few feet. Too close.

I can't stand drivers who are inconsiderate of others, especially when they're inconsiderate to those who have animals or children in the car, or are hauling horses, etc. Back in the day when I showed my horses and hauled them back and forth people would constantly tailgate me and cut me off, almost causing a wreck on numerous occassions! People who have precious cargo can't just slam on breaks at any given minute but I guess some people just don't realize that.
Sorry I had to rant a bit, can you tell I have a bit of road rage?
