I was wondering what is the average temperature that everyone keeps their homes during the winter.
Jaxx has been burrowed under a blanket since it turned cold last week. He comes out to play, walk, and eat but if he had his choice he would be under a blanket.
I don't mind him being under a blanket but I am just wondering if we are keeping it too cold in the house.
72 during the day. 67-68 at night when we are all bundled under lots of quilts, fleece and down filled duvets. They sometimes get too warm under all of the blankets and will get down, get a drink and burrow right back under the layers!
Mine are not really clothes wearers but when winter really hits, sometimes they will wear a fleece top and we also turn on our gas fireplace (when we are home with them).
This is my first real winter. Luckily, I enjoy the cooler air inside. I keep my apartment heat set to about 67-68. Toby doesn't mind- he wears clothes anyway and at night he snuggles under the covers.
We keep ours at 72, this is Ike's first winter and our days have not been cold yet. In the morning it has been damp and around 60 degrees, so when we are on the porch having morning coffee ,he is cold and shivers. I have to cuddle him.
We keep ours around 70-72 and I am usually a bit chilly but I am cold all the time anyhow. I don't remember Jaxx wanting to be under the blankets all the time last year.
About 65-70. If Midgie acts like she's cold, I'll put a t-shirt on. We sometimes burn wood & the house gets pretty toasty, but we only burn wood if the temps are staying cold. We've had fluctuations in the temp her from cold to warm so it's not worth lighting a fire.
I keep mine at 72 day and night. I stay very cold. The pups are burrowers, and stay deep under blankets or in snuggle sacks. 3 of my pups sleep with me at night under the covers, and 1 in her play pen that is covered so no draft gets in.
