Bella sleeps in our bedroom in a soft zipped up crate, she has woken us nearly every night sometimes 2-3 times to go out to wee for the past year. She has been Vet checked several times and her urine sent off for microbiology and there is nothing wrong with her, this behaviour is simply a habit. Last night at 3am after being woken for the third time by Bella scratching at her crate door to go out I had a little hissy fit, I carted the whole crate downstairs to the kitchen, put a pad at the back door, shut the kitchen door and left her !!! I felt such a cruel Mummy but I'm exhausted, I didn't get up this often when my children were babies. This morning I tentatively opened the kitchen door and Bella was still fast asleep in her crate and the pad was dry, proving to me she doesn't really need to go out at all. I intend to leave her in the kitchen from now on, I'm being tough.
O M G, you must be exausted, and you have done this for a year? your better than me .I agree with Pigeonsheep here , i think little Bella just wants to snuggle with her mommy, ha, ha, I would have been draggin her into bed with me ages ago, just so i get some sleep, If you dont mind her in your bed why dont you try her for a night,? she proberly wont move. good luck, she,s so cute.

Bella is 2, she's been outside trained since she was about 16 weeks. This behaviour just started gradually a year ago, at first it was maybe a couple of times a week and we put up with it but now it's several times a night nearly every night. I don't really want her sleeping in our bed its not something I want to start.
Jaxx does this sometimes at night. I get woken up to him sitting beside our bed whining. I know that he does not have to go outside and he has just woken up and decided he wanted to be awake and thought I should be too. If I am positive that he does not have to go outside then I just ignore it and he goes back into the living room and plays or goes back to sleep. If I am deep asleep and don't hear him hubby has to cover up my head so Jaxx can't see me or he will keep whining until he wakes me. If he knows I am ignoring him he goes about his business but if he thinks I just haven't heard him he keeps whining. He doesn't seem to care if hubby can hear him or not it is always me he wants to wake up.
I am probably a mean pup mom but if I were you I would just ignore it if you know she doesn't actually need to go out and at 2 years old she should be able to hold it through the night. Putting her in the kitchen might be a good idea too. Perhaps she wakes up and sees you and wants to be with you even if it is only to go pee. Putting her outside of the bedroom may fix it totally. We could not have Jaxx's crate in our room because every time we moved it woke him up and then he thought it was time to get up. We have a big walk in closet and when he was sleeping in his crate that is where he slept.
