I've read how a lot of you feed Kibble for one meal and feed ziwipeak for the other. Chloe still has some Fromm left over, so I decided to give her some last night instead of her Ziwipeak. This was at about 8. At 11:30 she woke up vomiting. She's thrown up about 10 times since then. 3 of which were in the last hour or so. As soon as the vet opened at 7:30 I called. They said they didn't have a appointment until 9:30, but that we could drop her off and the vet could work on her in between other appointments. So, we just dropped her off. We were planning on going out of town this morning for Christmas, but this may make our plans change. Chloe has a very strong stomach and never has stomach issues really. It's surprising that just one meal of kibble that she used to tolerate well would cause all of this. It makes me worried that its something else. I'll keep you updated when I hear from the vet.

Oh, no! Sure hope they can give her something for the nausea and get this sorted quickly.

Good for you to call the Vet and get her right in. That was the right thing to do!

Oh my,hope she gets well quick. I feed my dogs Fromm. Maybe she has a stomach virus.

We just went to pick her up. They couldn't find anything wrong. Her blood work was all perfect. Her abdomen was soft and non tender. The vet didn't feel like it was a blockage. She gave her a shot for nausea that should last 24 hours. She also has some Carafate to take before meals for 5 days. They also gave us some canned Science Diet low fat. (Yuck) would anyone actually feed this in this situation or should we just go back to ziwipeak? She's acting better. She's drank some water since she's been home. We are going to go ahead with our trip, but we've decided to just go for the day instead of spending the night.

I think I would not feed her the Science diet stuff. I would use the Carafate and feed her the usual Ziwipeak. Carafate can cause constipation, though. Just letting you know so you won't be alarmed if it does. Maybe it is just some kind of a virus.

Good news is that you responded quickly and did all you could have/should have to rule out anything alarming. That is awesome!

I would think introducing a new food would not help the situation at all. She was settled on ZP and if it were my girls I would slowly reintroduce that.
