Chico does that.... and has since he was a puppy, he is now 4yrs old....
When he gets tired/sleepy he will get his toy and suck on the nose and 'knead' the toy... like he is suckling his mom... chico usually falls asleep in the bed doing this at night or when he is needing a nap.....

I haven't seen that in a dog, but my cat does that -kneading. She does it when she is truly content.

She does look relaxed!

yeah kneading & suckling, I think it is cute!
noah does it to my dressing gown and then usually falls asleep lol, I guess it's just comforting to them? makes everything soggy though ugh

I had a Jack Russell who use to do that with his favorite blanket, his whole life, when ever he was tired. Well they don't have thunbs to suck on..
