Sorry, I missed your reply. Heating pads shouldn't be too expensive. I would say in the $10-$30 range. You could also use a covered hot water bottle. Just make sure that she is able to get away from the heat if she gets too hot.

Thanks for the reply Krystal! Ava is getting spayed tomorrow. I'm a lilttle nervous about how things are gonna be when I bring her home tomorrow, it's gonna break my heart hearing her cry
I'm washing her beds and blankets on the sanitize cycle right now so nothing irritates her stitches.
Took her food away as they advised me not to feed her after midnight and she's snuggling the bf and I in bed now. Bless her heart, she has no idea. Hopefully everything goes well, and I will definitely be getting her some pain medicine while I'm up there too. What should I expect when I bring her home?

Tiffani, I'd get a cone too(you can get it at the vet's), to ensure she doesn't
nibble on her booboo. Some dogs will leave the surgery sight alone, but most
will lick & bite it, and this can result in an even bigger booboo! Don't stress,
just let her rest, keep her from jumping, running and using stairs. On-leash
walks only for at least the first week. You can give her bully sticks or chew
toys to help keep her occupied, you can play gentle tug to relieve some anxiety.
She'll be back to normal in no time. Hugs, hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow!

Haha of course! She hasn't even gone in yet and I'm worrying! I will keep everyone updated for sure and probably be seeking some support whilst she is getting her surgery tomorrow. I have to wake up at 6AM. Yuck LOL

I'm sure she'll be fine! It is such a stressful time though no matter what. She will likely be very sleepy when she gets home and will sleep for a long time, especially if you have a nice warm cozy place for her to snuggle up. Not all dogs cry. Odie didn't make a peep and she was extremely ill. Definitely ask for pain meds. Just keep her hydrated and comfortable for the first couple of days and then the worst will be over! All the best.
