Are long haired chis generally bigger than short haired? Xx

No, they are the same size. Long coats can sometimes appear bigger because of all the fluff.

Lol that probably is why then, my baby just seems so much bigger than my friends who is the same age but mine is just a little ball of fluff xxx

Ellie, both long and smooth coat Chihuahuas can come in a variety of sizes. The
standard says the Chi should not exceed 6 pounds, however not all Chis are bred
to standard. My Chanel for example is fit not overweight but weighs 8.5 pounds.

My answer was going to be "only when they are dry"! You wet down a long haired Chi and their little bodies can be tiny. Yes, the fluff can be deceiving!

I still can't imagine such little chi's. Moose is very fit, about 8.5 lbs and seems SO tiny to me!

Thanks everyone I think Tallulah will be quite big when she's fully grown her mum is pretty big x here she is playing with her mum and her friend yesterday Attachment 9361 she just loves rolling round on her back to someone tickles her tummy haha xx

8.5lbs is still a very small dog, but comparing it with the tinies it can seem big.
It's funny to see my 8.5 Chanel play fight with my 2.5 Bella, Bella kicks some
serious butt! LOL
