Our vet has moved away...she was the best....all of my girls loved her and she was so good with them....when Bella was so ill, Dr M would call me time after time to check up on her....I will be forever grateful to her for the care she provided..but...she has moved to another province so too far to travel too. We are seeing a vet she recommended, she is in the same clinic and I have spoken to her on the phone a few times over the last couple of years when Bella was ill and she seemed very nice...
Izzy has to go for a ocular check-up and her rabies....fingers crossed all goes well

I found that the staff at a vet's or doctor's office can be just as important as the doctor itself.

I actually changed doctors because of office staff!! It was that bad! The receptionist was very rude to other patients on the phone. Well, just recently I found out that she is no longer there!

Isn't that the truth....we have a vet within a 30 min drive ( ours is over an hour away ) and I thought maybe with Dr M leaving I would switch over to that clinic...I stopped in the other day and the front end clerk was just so cold......telling me I would have to " agree to yearly injections...the girls would have to be spayed to be seen at this practice......I would have to agree to yearly check-ups " Not a very inviting atmosphere to say the least....so no way I would change over to that clinic although it would make my life easier for scheduling ! Having a clinic where everyone is friendly and competent is worth the drive !

Thanks Ashley...I'm sure it will be fine...fingers crossed Izzy is a pretty easy going little girl, so I don't expect much reaction on her part...its mine that I worry about
