I'd second getting it good and wet - water pretty much ruins squeakers! Edie loves growling and crawling at certain toys, but it's definitely a play-growl (you can tell, they're higher-pitched and usually shorter than aggressive growls) so I think it means she's enjoying it.

She especially loves the remote control robot-spider my Mum bought her for Christmas, she stalks it and circles it and growls and does loads of big-dog things, then when she gets close enough, she runs like crazy!

That sounds so cute! Angel is a squeaker! He will bring his toy right up to you and just squeak away while looking at you!!hahaha

We have come to the conclusion he loves it. It is just a sweet little growl and now he is starting to squeek it himslef, then he jumps.
