Question Does he love it or hate it

Ike has a little rubber pig , very light little thing. Santa brought it for Christmas, he loves playing with it, but he doesn't like the squeak. He picks it up very lightly by its foot to carry it around, but the whole time he has it and playing with it he growls, like he can't decide if he likes it or maybe hoping it doesn't squeak? I don't want to encourage him to growl at things, but it doesn't seem like a mean growl, should I let him keep it? Do you think he loves it or hates it?

I think they just have so many different ways that they play with different toys.
Jaxx has some that he will squeak every 2 seconds for hours. He has other toys that has squeakers but he never squeaks them. He has times when he just carries his toys around. Jaxx growls at his toys all the time.
I think if he is paying attention to the toy then all is good. That might just be his way of reacting to that too.

Evelyn, my Chanel has a little rubber pig that squeaks too, and she loves it...
but hubby and I can live without the squeaking, lol. Well she dropped it into her
water bowl once and now it does not squeak, we are very happy haha. Maybe
try washing the toy under a lot of water, or just soak it, to see if the same thing
happens to yours, this way Ike might like it better.

Toby LOVES to squeak certain toys, but other ones he will play with without squeaking once. Chis are strange little dogs.

Your so lucky your dog doesn't like the squeak my dog loves the squeaky toys and they go right through my head!!! She can't get enough if them! I'm sure if it doesn't sound like a mean growl then I'm sure he's just playing? Does he growl at people? If not then I don't think it should be a problem you could try to teach him a trick and if you say quiet he will stop growling then you could put this into play when he has his toy if you really wanted to?

Great idea, thank you. It is funny how he just picks it up by its foot and carries it so lightly, I know he doesn't like the squeak.
