LacyGirl thank you so much for the video. I watched it five times as they say "one picture is worth a thousand words", but in this case one video is worth so much.
I don't know if this is accurate but I didn't use a whole fist, I believe just two fingers (maybe three, it is a blur). I think a fist for such a small dog like Prince who is 3.5 lbs is just to much)?? Thoughts?
Oh wow I would have lost it! I am glad Prince is okay! I will have to look at the link provided because I have no clue what I would do if Jaxx started choking and I couldn't reach it.
He has choked before on a chicken wing that he got out of the neighbors yard before I could stop him but luckily I was able to pull it out and he was okay.

I am very glad you knew exactly what to do!
Someone else posted a link to a video in this thread. It is very helpful.
Choke is terrifying..my ferret had something in his throat last week. Thankfully only partial and he could breathe. I tipped him and he was able to dislodge it.
Also I want to point out with a choke incident don't worry too overly much about hurting them.. a cracked rib on a living dog is much better than a dead dog.
