Stella came with her name, and I liked it, so it stuck, and since everyone has to have a middle name for when they're bad, Louise just kinda happened, lol. Hence, Stella Louise.

Maximus is the bf's dog, and Max is the most popular dog name -- top 5, anyway.

Maggie May was originally Coco, which the bf (and frankly everyone) hated, and she didn't respond to it anyway - so he changed it to something that sounded cute with Max.

Gemma was the only name my boyfriend and I could agree upon. I really wanted Willow, but he did not like that at all. Gemma has been one of my favorite girl names ever since I was a young girl and I always dreamed I would use the name for my first daughter, I just didn't know my first "daughter" would be a Chi! Gemma's name from her breeder was "Emma," and since my boyfriend said he liked that name, I suggested Gemma and it was an instant decision that that was what we would name her.

Well Harley is actually named after Harley Quinn because my husband ha the same name of the original Batman. At one point we also had an Ivy. With Titus it took a lot of thinking and plotting. I got Titus because my cat had passed away and he went everywhere with me so I wanted a chi that could travel with me. I actually knew about tide before he was born so I had four months to decide lol and it was similar to Silas which was my kitties name and it sounded better than squatch

I spent a couple of days trying to pick out names, I had a whole list of them, from Spanish words, to old fashioned names and everything in between! When we picked her up we had narrowed it down to Ruby or Muffin and when we met her she was definitely a Ruby and not a Muffin.

I knew I would name Bell, "Bell" before I ever met her. My parents have a Chi named Taco, and I've always said when I get my own I want a baby girl and I will name her "Bell". I just thought having "Taco" and "Bell" would be cute, I like themed names for pets.

The 8 week old pup we found on Petfinder was named 'Lindy Sue'. She was such a serious puppy but had bouts of silliness that made us laugh. We named her after my favorite comedienne Gilda (Radner of SNL fame). It is the perfectname for her... Odd, unique and quirky.

In the summer when the tomatoes are filling the garden, my husband and I make gallons of Pico de Gallo. We always thought that would be a great name for a little dog even though we NEVER planned to get a little dog

When we adopted Skippy, we planned to change his name to Derby since he was from Kentucky. It didnt fit him. Then we tried Domingo since we had adopted him on a Sunday (spanish for sunday). It didnt fit. Then we tried Indigo. Love the name but it wasnt him. Then we remembered Pico and we both knew that was him! Both pups learned their new names quickly and seemed happy for a fresh start...

My 14 yr old son likes classic rock so he picked Hendrix. I thought it was different then going with a Spanish name which is always expected. Besides, I am Mexican, so we usually have someone in our own family with same or similar names....lol
