I say change it to whatever you like best. We picked a similar sounding name for Harley, he was called Marley before he came to us. We call him Moo though and he answers to both names. We gave Delilah and Mouse names that sound nothing like their previous names, and even at 18 months, they adapted instantly.

It's true, they adapt really fast. We've had many fosters, and we changed all of their names to make them sort of more adoptable. After a day or two of that and clicker training, they all knew their new names

Oh he is so cute! Looks just like a Dobby to me!
In dog training, if you arent careful, you can end up with a 'poisoned cue' like when you say 'come' and get no response. In those cases, you change the cue word and make it really worthwhile and the dogs adapt very quickly.
Think of brewster as a 'poisoned name' and give the two of you a fresh start with a name you both love.
Trust me, you will do your lil pup a whole lotta good and no harm whatsoever!
Let us know what you decide
