How destructive is your chi?

I can honestly say that Holly never tore up ANYTHING! I was so surprised at what a good puppy she was. As long as she was able to steal a sock every now and then, she was totally satisfied.

In my expereince of Chis, I'd say this is not true. Of course any dog given the opportunity has the capacity to destroy things. Especially if left for long periods and they become bored.
I've heard of some very lovable but destructive Boxers and Labs, who just seemed to like ripping out skirting boards and carpets!

Crate training, used wisely can prevent this.

BEFORE we resorted to crate training, our great dane mix ate:

• a hole in the wall big enough for a basket ball to fit through
• the framing between the windows
• kitchen cabinets
• a sofa
• a picture frame
• a wooden black cat halloween decoration
• an entire bag of tomatoes and peppers
• anything else he could get his mouth on

We adored that dog! We bought him a kennel when he was about 1 and all of that stopped, he was a wonderful dog and we miss him terribly.

I agree totally w/crate training, out new chihuahua mix is crated when we are not home....otherwise he's free to roam at will. He chewed a wooden bangle bracelet (my fault as it was on the ground)....

We think he's an awesome dog and have had no issues to speak of.

They could have saved money on the survey and just asked me. I have just had to re-build the kitchen wall and re-new kitchen floor [this is the 5th floor in 5 years] I have at the moment 3 Great Danes and 5 chihuahuas.

Wow! I would have said my chis are not even remotely distructive. I provide lots of chewies and toys for them to play with.

I never realized how distructive great danes could be though.

They don't always mean to be destructive sometimes just running around and doing zoomies can wreak havoc on your house and garden as they can be extremely stupid and clumsy

My Scottish Terrier and My Chinese are both really destructive. My Scottie ate my cell phone, and my Chinese rip up paper towel rolls. My Scottie even got ahold of christmas orniments. My Chihuahuas have own dug holes in my carpet, thats about it.
