That's my thinking too. I know mine aren't sick when they do it because they are playful and happy. They just seem to enjoy it. I scanned an article from my latest issue of Healthy Pet on this topic if anyone is interested. Might be a little hard to read, (Photobucket downsized it) but I think it's still legible.

Trigger seems to like to bite at the grass just because it's fun. I don't think he actually eats much of it at all and he is an incredibly healthy boy. He's so excited to be outside he just bounds around and bites and whatever's on the ground. He's never thrown up after and so I've never worried about it cuz it seems to be fun for him. I worry a tiny bit about chemicals but not so much I am going to try to train this out of him, because it's just too cute.

Bo is my only dog who eats grass. He seems to do it when he is bored and we are outside too long. We know when he does eat grass that we need to sit out and wait for him to throw up because he does every time.

I have also seen a few of my cats and dogs at times eat grass then usually throw up after!
Thanks for posting the article.

My girls eat grass a lot. Kizzie will just find the longest one and lay next to it and munch on it. I always thought it was good for their upset tummies but Kizzie does it so much and shes not sick. They never get sick after eating grass either.
