it IS an urban legend...the chemical compound is NOTHIGN close to antifreeze...it is also licensed witht he fda which means it is safe for household use....while its definatly not safe for a toddler or pet to drink an entire carton of it...the tiny bit of residue (which dries very quickly) isnt enough to cause any kind of damage (ESPECIALLY THAT QUICKLY!!!) to pets or children. ALL chemicals have to have a warning that says unsafe for children and animals if ingested, but it is not risky in such small amounts.
my family ahs been using them since they came out (MUCH CLEANER than mop and bucket) and havent had any problems with any of our dogs, the people i baby sit for also use it they have 6 cats and not had a problem, and there now walking todler is on the floor al the time and no problems...the cleaning solution used in the swifferes has been around for YEARS...its not some special solution made new for the jet, its just put into a new container and relabled...
there EXCELENT for smal accidents and wood floors, there cleaner, and actually dry quicker than mop and bucket mopping, and its actually safer than using a bleach solution (which can residue on wood and tile floors)
dont worry, dont trash your wetjet because of this...its just not worth giving to the hype...
think about it..we all have frined who have frineds/know someone who knows someone ect that has had a bad experience with something... ie, oh a frined of mine, well she has a frined who whent to (insert fast foor resturaunt) and found (insert somehting gross) in her burger/fries/chicken ect...
and we dont all go out boycott do we...
