How many puppies does a chihuahua usually have in one litter?

Any where from 1-6 per litter, but 4 is the average of a nice litter.

wow I agree, 4 sounds like a lot... 6 and you would think they would not be able to stand up.

Default pups per litter

10 pups is the largest for chis. Mine Sybil had 8 and her birth sister had 6 and they both mated with same father, Only I think him and his son got to Bailey because there were 2 babies under an once, the rest were 2 to 4 oz.

It's the mother that determines how many pups, the dad just gets to determine if they are boys or girls LOL. If there were a couple that were smaller than the rest it is probably because the mom's eggs were fertilized later. For example if the dogs tied on Mon, then again on Fri (or later). the pups conceived on Friday would be smaller at birth than the pups concieved on Mon. Could be the same daddy or different.
