when i bought honey i had to sign a piece of paper i wasnt to breed her
she kc/ped
so how come a breeder can do that?
does it mean they only let their male dogs breed?
when i got honey breeding never crossed my mind
but maybe in a few years i would like to have a few more pups running around my house
but that would mean id have to buy them
so how do breeders get into breeding if alot of breeders wont let you breed your dog?

Yes that is called limited registration. You can breed her you just can't register the litter. Some breeders do that for getting more money, if you say you want to breed they usually ask for more money.

I think it is a good thing - as there are many people (not refering to you babayjane) out there who dont know how to breed dogs and they just go ahead and do it and the pups end up dying and they also loose there bitch

ive never really encountered ne breeder in the uk actualy saying you have to sign ne thing or ne thing like that. Altho i have seen some state that the bitch is for pet only, they usualy then dont register her full stop.
ive herd of quite alot f regulations in the us tho like neuter agreements

i had to sign something that they had done on their comp it said we would be buying her as a pet and we werent breeding her,funny thing is it was my hubby that signed it an not me,he kinda likes to do that,lol,brings out the man side in him,anyway he also filled out the kc reg document when we got home,oh an the breeder is breeding again next year
on honeys generation line i noticed that non of her grandparents etc had been champ dogs etc,my aunt says i should have offered £100 less to buy her as i wasnt allowed to breed her,but money means nowt to me,honeys worth you cant put a price tag on her.

maybe if none of her pedigree were champs etc - maybe they didnt want her bred as it would not be bettering the breed as such

im not sure but i can phone the breeder anytime and they are nice
