Hi again guys, as some of you may know Tsha has spent a lot of time at the vets the past couple months (heart problems, stomach problems, severe allergies) and now something new ugh....

Two days ago she was standing on up on her hind legs and when she went to get down I seen her leg/hip like pop out straight and she wouldn't get up or walk on it for like half hour. But then she seemed fine and was running around playing with the kids again so I wasn't too concerned! Well now it just happened again and she's totally limping . I know she does have luxating patellas, do they get worse as they age since she's almost 8? Or would it be hip since she's holding the leg out straight...

Any ideas?? I know I need to get her to the vet ASAP it's just the fact I've already spent well over $3k there this year :/

Oh Gee I feel your pain! I spent $3800 for a diagnosis of focal (eye) epilepsy. It just really means that my chi 'sees things that aren't there"!!! She air snaps, gets up from a nap, running as if something is after her etc. Phenobarbital helps. I took out a loan to pay it off!

Oh my goodness! Sorry to hear that..poor chi! I had to get one of those health credit cards to use everytime she goes to the vet cuz it's always so expensive! Luckily I gave them a call about this situation and she was nice enough to give her pain meds without seeing her since luxating patellas are very common in chi's. Fingers crossed she doesn't need the $2000 surgery
