I'm not sure how often they need to eat. Every 4 hours minimum I think but little and often is good. I free fed mine when they first came home. They will sleep a lot but should be alert and energetic when they are awake. If they're hypoglycemic they will be sleepy, uncoordinated, they may stumble, not want to play. If you see any of these symptoms then you need to raise their blood sugar pronto. If you have honey, karo syrup or nutrical about rub that on the gums and then feed protein like chicken to stop a sugar crash. Make sure they're well hydrated too. I never saw any signs of hypoglycemia in mine but it's best to know the symptoms. You can google it for a more thorough list of symptoms. Congrats on having your baby home xox
