HUNTINGTON BEACH…The Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OCSPCA), with supporting sponsors, is proud to announce the 13th Annual 5K/2K Walk for the Animals. This pet friendly event will be Sunday, October 3rd at 9:00am in Central Park East (Golden West & Talbert Avenues behind the Central Library) in Huntington Beach. Snoopy will be Grand Marshall of this years event and Tyson the skateboarding Bulldog will be showing off his talents. Well-mannered dogs, on leashes, are encouraged to attend. Please no puppies under six months.
Activities following this pet friendly event include:

~ Mini Agility Course
~ Pet Contests
~ Free T-shirts, Doggie Scarves & Goodie Bags to first 350 registrants
~ Sponsor and Vendor booths
~ Silent auction and door prizes and lots more fun!
All funds raised from the Walk help support the organization’s programs including veterinary care for sick and injured animals; subsidized spay/neuter, feral cat rescue; cruelty prevention through humane education in the classroom; and pet-assisted therapy. Over 500 participants enjoyed last year’s festivities.
Registration is $20.00 before September 26th and $25.00 thereafter. Kids 12 years and under, free. Teams of five or more pay $15.00 each if pre-registered by September 26th. Registration forms can be obtained after August 15th from the Orange County SPCA (714) 374-7738; email,
