Just wanted to invite any chi owners in the Bay Area to the San Francisco Chihuahua meet up, first Sunday of every month (in the summer it's on the first Saturday instead) at Stern Grove from noon until 2:00 p.m.. Free snacks and refreshments are normally provided.

I've been going for years and it's only getting bigger, it's not uncommon to have approximately 100 people show up with their chis. Only the yorkie meet up has more members but our group consistently has a higher turn out per meet up event. The San Francisco Chi meet up has been voted the best meet up group in the city for several years in a row.

Rescue groups often participate and there are a number of local vendors that also attend. There's also a vet tech that attends that provides low cost nail cutting and anal gland extraction, half of the money goes back to the group.

There is no membership fee for the meet up group and it's extremely casual. Lately the group has been having raffles (items are donated by local vendors) during the meet ups to raise money for the local rescue groups.

I'm bumping this thread, as the meet up this weekend will feature a clothing swap (for the chis not owners). Bring your unwanted chi clothes and swap them out with other members that brought some of their unwanted items. The meet up has swtiched back to the first Sunday of the month, now that summer is over. Since the weather in the city has been so nice recently, this meet up should be pretty big.
