Odie vs the Too Small Sweater

My friend and co-worker is so sweet and put together a Christmas gift for Odie. She knit her a sweater that is so adorable and also baked her two different kinds of treats that were in a super cute package. I just thought I would share some pics.

My friend underestimated Odie's size and the sweater wouldn't even fit over her head! I tried to put it on and grabbed my camera and my husband was yelling "get it off! she can't breathe!". HAHA! She could breathe by the way, but it was clearly uncomfortable. Poor thing. No wonder she attacks her sweaters when I take them off.

The treat packaging had a personal message from my friends mastiff boxer x, Zooey. It read:

"Odie,
I wish we could play without fear of me trampling you to death. Thanks for all the treats.
Love, Zooey"

The Too Small Sweater

The baked gift tag that my friend made :)

The sweater fit her monkey toy, and she was enjoying attacking it

Thanks! Yes, the monkey is still wearing the sweater and he looks fabulous!

I just love pictures of Odie!!

She looks like she is so happy in that sweater hehe

That was so sweet that she thought of Odie!!
Haha she was thrilled at having her head stuffed into that neck hole. Not a happy camper.

that was such a thoughtful gift your freind made for Odie, too bad the sweater was too small. it looks so pretty with the knitted flower on it. i hope she likes her treats :)
The flower is a pin, so I can still use it on one of her other outfits! :D She usually doesn't like biscuit style treats, but she loved these and ate one of each type. I have to admit, they smell pretty good!

That was sweet of your friend. Too bad it doesn't fit, it's really cute!

Too bad we didn't have it when we brought her home. I think that would have probably been the only time it would have fit her! :)

Heeheehee, well, it's the thought that counts. It was such a sweet gesture from your friend.

One of my husband's friends, about a year ago, took up knitting and wanted to knit Lyra a sweater. He chose this army green color, and even though my husband gave his friend measurements, it was still kinda big and went very long in the back. We joked that it was her 'sniping sweater' since it looked like the camo blankets soldiers use to cover themselves when they're sniping enemy soldiers.
Haha, sometimes knitting projects just don't turn out the way you'd like them to. Yes, definitely the thought that counts. She was embarrassed to give it to me too but I made her. Her dog is huge so she wanted to practice doing something not quite so large.

That was really sweet of your friend and it is a beautiful sweater. I like the little flower too. I bet Santa will bring Odie a sweater that fits. :coolwink:
Odie is so spoiled. She has at least three things under the tree already to add to her wardrobe collection!

Odie looks adorable in the sweater, even if it is too small. Merry Christmas to you and Odie, he looks like a keeper.
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you too. :santa:
