We picked up two new little ladies from a breeder who had to give up. They are both around a year and a half old, Delilah is 5lbs and Mouse is 4lbs, although I was surprised she weighs this much she is very tiny and fine boned. They are both really sweet dogs and were loved by their owner, but they have never been walked or trained at all. They have never worn collars or been in a car before. They don't answer to their names or respond to basic commands, they don't even understand 'sit'.
They also stink, and have horrid breath and dirty teeth from a poor diet, (they were fed cheap kibble, mostly Iams, plus boiled chicken and rice) and no muscle tone from not being exercised.
They had their check ups and vaccinations yesterday, and have taken to a raw diet like ducks to water. They love it! Even after just two days on raw their teeth are cleaner and they don't smell as much. I can't wait to see how they improve over the next few weeks.
Behaviour wise they are going to be hard work, they were both terrified of the vet, and Mouse, who is the dominant one, (always the littlest ones lol) wants to mark everything. They are also very bonded to each other, and scream if they are separated. So any tips on socialising adult dogs from scratch will be appreciated.
I also wondered what type of harness you guys would recommend for an adult dog that has never been walked before.

She is really fascinated by the guinea pigs
