It's like a very thick floor rug - so I use it on it's own. I assume the US one is the same as the one I got here in Europe - if so it's perfect on it's own

On very cold nights I put their snuggle beds on top, so they can burrow into them - but that's just so they are covered.

I'm confused about the original bed we were talking about, sorry! The one u are saying is available in every pet shop, is that the plastic oval bed ur talking about? Or the rubber cushion that goes inside it? Or is there no rubber cushion and that's here I'm getting confused??

Either way I'm wondering wat the cushion part is called in particular, and is it the inside of the cushion that's rubber and therefore easy to clean as u just take the cover off to wash??

You do not sound like an idiot, don't say that about yourself.

The bed is plastic, it comes with little rubber feet so it does not slide.
You can choose a cushion you like to go inside. The one I have, the
white one, is from the same company as the bed. But you can use
the vet bed instead of the cushion. The cushion is nothing
special, and will most likely fall apart after a few washes, so I choose
to put blankets on top of it to help protect it. If you get the vet bed,
you can cut it to fit into the bed and throw some blankets or snuggle
beds like Jane, on top to make it extra cozy and warm.

Ahhhh I know what's going on now lol! The main bed is the hard plastic one, then u put cushions or blankets in! Ok I'm with yas now, I thought there was a cushion that was plastic or something.

They do look very stylish, I am considering to buy a similar one because at the moment we are using some novelty beds but I have to hand wash them and they take AGES to dry

That's the thing about these beds they are 100% practical! I'm done with novelty beds purely because they can't be washed and dried easily and can't be washed at the temperatures I'd like to wash them at.

And I agree that photo sells it!! I bet dog bed companies around the world would want that photo for their adverts!
