why we don't go more often. I love him so much, he is my pride.
The only family I have left that are alive is my brother and mom.
Both live here in Canada. I came to Canada with my mother, no
knowledge of English or French, poor, but we made it. We came
here for a better, safer life. That's all really. I do miss Russia
terribly, and still feel it is my home, but I know I have it good
here, and I'm very thankful to this country and its people, it's
a great place to live, Russia is hard, very beautiful, but very hard.
I don't know why I'm crying now. I guess because I wish it wasn't
so hard for average people to survive in my country.

Awwwww don't cry LS. I'm sorry if I brought back memories of your homeland and you miss it. I would feel that way too if I was in another country other than this one that is so familiar. You are a strong strong woman to have made it this far and to have persevered in spite of all your health challenges. Many others would just give up. You have such a wonderful and kind spirit about you. You are very special. I don't want to sound all sappy, but you truly are a wonderful person and we are lucky to know you here.

Honestly something about him just endears me to him. He always has a twinkle in his eye. I love how he watches over his sisters and your family. His personality just seems so vivacious and fun. He kinda reminds me of Toby but bigger. He comforts when he is needed but can be wild. He's like a mother hen! Not to mention he is STUNNING (as are his brother and sisters)!
Your whole pack is awe-worthy. If I passed you on the street, I would probably ohhh and awwwww over the girls because they are little and cute and chis. But "knowing" them, Rocky is just special.

You are so sweet, thank you so much. You definitely got him figured out.
I don't know what it is about today, but hubby & I talked about living
without our boys(once they pass), and how empty it would be, we know
they are young, only 4 years, but still. We are so attached to them,
they are very unique characters, and both have overcome a lot, Benji
due to his past(before he was rescued), and Rocky with his behavior.
They've been around a lot of our rescues and have traveled with us
so much, they are a huge part of our lives and we are both more
attached to them then we ever were to any pet, and the bond keeps
growing stronger, it's scary to think we won't have them around forever.
No one could replace them.

Tracy, you are kind, but I assure you I am not special.
I wasn't always ill, only the last 8 years or so. And at
first this disease won and had me in bed 24/7, depressed,
even suicidal. I came a very long way from there, because
I did two things...1. I stopped feeling sorry for myself, and
2. I made a choice to be happy no matter what. I
focused on others instead of my "pitiful" self, and this also
helped me realize I can still live and even be useful, while
ill. I won't lie, every single day is a battle, after all imagine
feeling a sharp knife in your most private area 24/7, every
step it gets worse, every sit, every move, it's hard to
focus your mind and fight through the pain. But if I don't
do it, and if I let my body dictate my life...I would die,
not physically, but emotionally/mentally. There are so
many people with pains and problems worse than mine
who keep pushing forward, who keep contributing to
society, to their loved ones, who keep giving, who
keep living...so how dare I let this get to me? It's not
an option. I'm not special Tracy, I just smartened up,
and made a choice...we always have choices, always.
I want to talk about special, let's talk about you.
You are one of the girls on here that I would LOVE
to meet in real life. I admire everything about you,
from your career choice, to your knowledge, to your
dedication, to your patience and your kindness. I'm
lucky to have "met" you Tracy, you contribute so much
to this forum, and to my daily life as well.
By the way, in case you didn't notice I don't mind "sappy",
mushy & corny, haha, it's all great stuff. Life's too short
to be too serious and tough/rough all the time.

Well I beg to differ girly! YOU ARE SPECIAL!! Why? Because of the way you live your life. Not everyone can be as strong as you. And yes, many many people choose to wallow in self pity and despair. They become their disease. It is sad. When I see someone like you who perseveres in spite of the odds - then that IS special. And worth celebrating.
And your insight and outlook on life is inspiring. You may not think so. But it is. I'm positive that you have impacted lives here and all the way around you. You have an energy and force about you that is admirable and strong.
I definitely agree that life is too short. We should tell people how we feel about them, while we can. So when I say you are special... I mean it.

LS I love your entire pack! If you lived closer you would get so tired of me and Jaxx coming over to give your pack cuddles and snuggles! Okay Jaxx would probably give more chases than anything but same difference!
Your entire pack is just gorgeous. I love them all. Chanel has a special place in my heart though because she just looks so feminine and diva like.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I have wanted to ask you for a long time how you ended up in Canada from Russia but I didn't want to be pushy. I am just nosy I think because I always wonder stuff like that.
